Marco Štorman was born in Hamburg in 1980 and completed the directing course at the Otto Falckenberg Schule in Munich in 2005. His graduation show *Einsame Menschen* by Gerhart Hauptmann was invited to the Bayerischer Theatertage. He worked as an Assistant Director at the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, Berlin, Thalia Theater Hamburg and the Münchner Kammerspiele Jossi Wieler, Andreas Kriegenburg, Stephan Kimmig and Christoph Schlingensief. In Summer 2003 he took part in the Theatre Master Class at the Salzburg Festival, in 2010 at the Berliner Festspiele’s International Forum, and in 2011 at the Enparts Open Campus Stockholm. From 2005 to 2007 Marco Štorman worked as an Assistant Director at schauspielhannover with directors including Lars-Ole Walburg, Schorsch Kamerun and Wilfried Minks. He founded the independent company *Kulturfiliale*, which was awarded the Hanover regional cultural Prize *Pro Viso* in April 2010 for their theatrical actions in the city. Since 2007 Marco Štorman has worked as a freelance director in Hamburg, Wien, Stuttgart, Oberhausen and Hanover.
